About Odia language: Odia is the predominant language of the Indian state of Odisha (formerly known as Orissa), where native speakers comprise 80% of the population. It is also spoken in parts of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the 22 scheduled languages and also a Classical Language of India.
